The Ladies Aid at St. John’s Lutheran Church is a member of the Lutheran Women’s Missionary League (LWML). The mission of the LWML is to assist each woman of the Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod and the Lutheran Church-Canada in affirming her relationship with the Triune God so that she is enabled to use her gifts in ministry to the people of the world.
Objectives of the Ladies Aid:
- To promote growth in Christian knowledge
- To foster and support the programs and objectives of the LWML–Mission Education, Mission Inspiration, and Mission Service
- To further a love for and to help provide for active participation in Christian service
- To foster Christian fellowship
Business Meetings: First Tuesday of each month at 2 PM in the Parish Hall
Visitation: Second Tuesday of each month beginning at 2 PM in the
Parish Hall
Bible Study: Third Tuesday of each month at 9 AM in the Parish Hall
Sewing: Fourth Tuesday of each month at 9 AM in the Parish Hall
from January through November
The ladies of St. John’s LADIES AID are involved in many love-sharing projects, including Birthday Parties for residents in local Nursing and Assisted Living facilities within the community. They also serve the congregation at St. John’s by providing delicious luncheons for its Senior Citizens, by regularly visiting the sick and shut-ins, and by providing constant care and upkeep of the church altar and its paraments.
